UK Publication Day!

Today my book, The One Safe Place (Orion Children’s Books) is out in the UK!

Last night, a small, dimwitted part of me was secretly hoping that when I woke up this morning, the sun would be out, a brass band would be playing outside and Amazon would be snarled up with millions of people feverishly buying the book, their hands trembling with excitement as they clicked ‘place order’.

So far, this hasn’t happened. So far. But I’m still thrilled.

To celebrate, I’m off to London on 23^rd January to attend a meeting of the brilliantly named Post Apocalyptic Book Club) at Waterstones in Piccadilly. James Smythe, author of the excellent book ‘The Machine’, will also be there. I’m looking forward to the discussion!

I’ll also be visiting a lot of schools in the area to meet readers. Always fun!
